InstantBand™: Just add YOU!
Our InstantBand
program is designed for those who are short on time, not into
auditioning people for a long-term project, unable to commit to an
open-ended situation, or who just haven't yet
found the right people. With an InstantBand , you'll hit the stage in just one month! 10
hours of rehearsals, a gig (with all gear provided), and a facilitator who will
captain your musical team - all for just $199 for Jam members or $259 for
non-members. Call (212 626 8472) and put down a 50% deposit to secure your
spot:
JUST ADDED: Funk University (a/k/a Funk U. ) with Kenny Ashby. Since Funky People (below) sold out almost immediately, we've added a similar project, with four rehearsals (all from
6:30-9:00 pm) and a gig at Ace Of Clubs on 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, and 10/14, respectively. There's room for two guitars, drums, keys, and a vocalist or two.
Blues In The Face , rollin' out tunes by Muddy, the Wolf, John Mayall, the three Kings, and other Blues legends: There'll be four rehearsals (all from
6:30-9:00 pm) and a gig (all presided over by Ed Howe) at the Red Lion (9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, and 10/7, respectively. And there are spots for bass, drums, keys and two vocalists.
Kenny Ashby's Funky People : Get down with James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Parliament, Ohio Players, and more. Four rehearsals (all from
6:30-9:00 pm) and a gig at Ace Of Clubs on 8/24, 8/31, 9/7, 9/14, and 9/16, respectively. There's room for keys.
Crank Case , an Ed Howe-facilitated InstantBand Van Halen, Judas Priest, et al (as always, InstantBand participants all get a say in the final setlist), with four rehearsals (all from
6:30-9:00 pm) and a gig at Ace Of Clubs on 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11 and 10/14 , respectively. a keyboardist.
Eagle One (our Eagles InstantBand) is completely sold out, and will appear at the Red Lion on 9/2.

Blues Brethren InstantBand
still needs a singer, drummer, and keyboard player. Let Ed Howe guide you
through four rehearsals and all the way to the stage at the world-famous Red Lion (6/9, 6/16, 6/23, 6/30, and 7/1,
respectively). Class Of '68 et al , has room for vocals, drums, and keys.
